This module provides a brief introduction to the differences that anaesthetists find between working in the UK and in resource-poor environments. In addition to essential information, it provides practical tips on adapting knowledge and skills to different working environments, limited resources and unfamiliar equipment.
It is suitable for those who have undertaken ‘austere environment’ training in the UK, but have not been deployed within a few months of training and who may want to refresh their knowledge.
