Welcome to Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare
Welcome to the Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare e-learning programme, e-SRH, developed in partnership with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and e-Learning for Healthcare.
e-SRH offers over 50 engaging, interactive and multimedia-rich e-learning sessions. These have been delivered as part of the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare professionals to acquire the relevant knowledge and competences for delivering quality sexual and reproductive healthcare in community settings. The online materials are written and extensively peer reviewed by a multi-disciplinary team of medical and nursing clinical experts in sexual and reproductive healthcare, general practice and genitourinary medicine.
The e-SRH curriculum covers:
- contraception
- sexually transmitted infections
- planning a family
- early pregnancy assessment including referral for abortion
- recognising psychosexual problems
- providing care for young people
- the law relating to confidentiality, sexual activity and to young people
There are a range of modules designed to match the needs of a variety of healthcare professionals and developed in line with the national strategies for sexual health.
Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare
Depending on the learner’s requirements, e-SRH can also form the initial part of the training for the new Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH, formerly the DFFP), and the Letters of Competence in Subdermal Implants and Intrauterine Techniques.
e-SRH is suitable for doctors and nurses and will be of interest to other healthcare professionals such as pharmacists.
