- Mild to severe learning disability
- Description:
- Children and young people with learning problems are at increased risk of displaying behavioural and/or mental health problems when compared to their non-disabled peers. Up to 50% of young people with learning disabilities are said to display behavioural and/or mental health problems at some time during childhood. This session is aimed at a universal audience and defines learning disability and considers the mental health issues which are important to understand and think about in this group of children and young people.
