[Retired] 02_01_13 Atrial Fibrillation
Session information
- Title:
- [Retired] 02_01_13 Atrial Fibrillation
- Description:
- Atrial fibrillation is the result of continuous and rapid activation of the atria by multiple asynchronous electrical impulses. This session reviews the aetiology, physiology and diagnosis of atrial fibrillation and the management decisions which relate to aetiology, chronicity and level of clinical risk. The session also explores the management of both acute and chronic atrial fibrillation, including pre-operative assessment for the patient with established atrial fibrillation and management of new onset of atrial fibrillation occurring in the peri-operative period.
- Hierarchy:
- Anaesthesia (e-LA) > Core Training - Clinical > [Retired] e-LA Module 02 - Consolidating Basic Clinical Practice - UNDER REVIEW > 01 Anaesthesia and Intercurrent Disease > 01 Anaesthesia and Cardiac Disease > [Retired] 02_01_13 Atrial Fibrillation
