This session provides an introduction to anaesthetic breathing systems. Modern anaesthesia makes use of a relatively limited number of different breathing systems with most modern anaesthetic machines using a circle system with carbon dioxide absorption.
The detailed physics of breathing systems will be covered in later sessions and at this stage you only need an outline understanding. - Hierarchy:
