- This session will consider patient conditions in which the measurement of calcium or magnesium plasma levels would be indicated. It will present a ‘user’s guide’ to the perioperative effects and treatments of uncorrected high and low plasma levels. It will also explore the rationale for the occasional use of intravenous calcium and magnesium preparations in other medical conditions.
