Alcohol dependence is a chronic, relapsing illness like many other health conditions. Taking a moment to understand this may help to improve longer-term outcomes and reduce re-attendance. This e-learning programme will be of interest to all NHS staff who come into contact with patients – from receptionists to A&E clinicians, nurses, hospital consultants, junior doctors, hospital porters and beyond.

Terms of Use: This training package was designed for frontline NHS staff, both clinical and non-clinical. The training can also be used in the academic setting for the education of student doctors, nurses and other allied health professionals. The film must only knowingly be shown to groups of NHS employees and health school students. Thank you for your cooperation.
