The Disability Matters Core Curriculum provides a wealth of information on a number of topics within children and young people’s health. A few sessions have been selected as they may be helpful to occupational therapists or occupational therapy students to provide an overview and starting point for developing their understanding about children and young people’s health and wellbeing. The sessions listed below will offer some general information, and these will need to be applied to the core perspectives of occupational therapy, i.e. that occupational therapists enable people to achieve health, wellbeing and life satisfaction through participation in occupation.
