- 02_13_01 Allergies Including Latex
- Description:
- During anaesthesia and surgery, patients are exposed to many drugs and agents that may cause an allergic reaction. The aim of this session is to recognize the importance of a detailed anaesthetic history to identify patients most at risk and those agents most likely to be involved in perioperative anaphylaxis. We shall also explore the perioperative management of patients with a history of drug allergy including those with specific allergy to natural rubber latex.
