With a number of different training routes in Prosthetics and Orthotics now available we want to equip the profession with the skills to support each learner through their clinical placements and early career development. Mentoring the next generation of prosthetists and orthotists by providing high quality clinical experiences, assessment and facilitation of learning is key to ensuring the continuity of highly skilled prosthetists and orthotists delivering excellent care to patients.

This online training has been developed for mentors to better understand how a learner is best supported to graduate and progress to be a more effective prosthetist and orthotist.

The content of the elearning programme has been informed by The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists, The University of Salford, University of Derby, senior prosthetist/orthotists with extensive experience of mentoring learners and a patient representative.
