This programme is designed to standardise education across Critical Care units. It should reduce variation in teaching and the repetitious undertaking of the education component in the administration of IV medication in Critical Care.
This e-learning is the theory component in the overall competency process. Successful completion of these sessions will entitle the Health Care Practitioner (HCP) to be ready for their practice assessment.
Once the theory and practice elements of the competency are completed the holder of the Pan London Critical Care IV Therapy Competency will be able to administer IV medication without the requirement to repeat the entire assessment process.
This programme has been developed by the three Critical Care Networks in London, and the Pan-London Critical Care Practice Development Group, working with CapitalNurse and e-Learning for Healthcare. - Created:
