IV Therapy Passport

Description:

The IV Therapy Passport e-learning is a programme of learning for healthcare professionals accessing the CapitalNurse IV Therapy pathway and passport. They are ‘bite-sized’ interactive learning sessions that work well on a variety of mobile and static devices.

These e-learning sessions have been collaboratively developed by CapitalNurse, Pan London stakeholders and e-Learning for Healthcare to provide the core theoretical training component for intravenous therapy as part of the CapitalNurse IV Therapy Pathway and Passport. The Passport is designed to standardise training across London, to reduce variation and to enable healthcare professionals to move between organisations without the need to retrain.

On completion of all of these e-learning sessions, and corresponding eAssessments, the healthcare professional, with the support and guidance of their practice setting, will progress through the pathway to supervised practice learning and assessment, using the CapitalNurse IV Therapy Passport Practice Learning and Assessment Document (IV PLAD).

Once the theory and practice components have been completed, the healthcare professional will hold their IV Therapy Passport.
