This training pathway is designed for registered nurses from the independent sector supporting the NHS in the care and management of the medical patient.
Aim:
To provide eLearning for Healthcare (eLfH) resources to enhance the knowledge of nurses caring for medical patients and complement any local upskilling training.
Structure:
The eLearning training is structured around the seven platforms of the NMC ‘Future Nurse: Standards of proficiency for registered nurses’. This training will contribute towards meeting the NMC standards of proficiency and achievement of the sessions can be evidenced for revalidation. It is recommended that you:
- Complete all required statutory and mandatory training
- Familiarise yourself with the principles of Covid-19 management
- Undertake all the ‘Essential Learning’ sessions which are designed to equip you with the basics and get you started
- Reinforce and build on your knowledge using the ‘Additional Learning
Resources’, and complement the learning from local training, clinical skills acquisition to gain confidence and competence
You may wish to approach this training in several sessions as it should take you about 10 hours. This training pathway is constantly updated and therefore it is recommended that you regularly visit the eLfH site.
