Welcome to the Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare e-learning programme, e-SRH, developed in partnership with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and e-Learning for Healthcare.
Interactive and multimedia-rich e-learning sessions, these have been delivered as part of the FSRH’s ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare professionals to acquire the relevant knowledge and competences for delivering quality sexual and reproductive healthcare in community settings. The online materials are written and extensively peer reviewed by a multi-disciplinary team of medical and nursing clinical experts in sexual and reproductive healthcare, general practice and genitourinary medicine.
The e-SRH curriculum includes:
- contraception
- sexually transmitted infections
- planning pregnancy
- early pregnancy assessment including referral for abortion
- psychosexual medicine
- providing SRH care for recognised groups
- confidentiality, sexual activity and to young people
There are a range of sessions designed to match the needs of a variety of healthcare professionals and developed in line with the national strategies for sexual health.
Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH)
The e-SRH is recommended as the go-to resource for those undertaking the redesigned Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH). The e-SRH is structured according to the DFSRH curriculum and each session aligns with DFSRH assessments, where applicable.
Letters of Competence (LoCs)Those undertaking the Letter of Competence in either Subdermal implant insertion and removal (LoC SDI IO/IR) or Intrauterine techniques (LoC IUT) will be required to complete sessions 17 or 18 as part of their entry requirements for the given LoC. These candidates are also recommended to refer to their given session and other relevant parts of the e-SRH as they progress through their learning and assessments.
e-SRH is suitable for all healthcare professionals with an interest in sexual & reproductive healthcare.
