Description:

The role of the cabin crew providing direct patient care is to support nursing and healthcare assistant (HCA) staff to provide some aspects of direct patient care. He/she will only perform tasks that they feel competent to undertake.
• The role will report to the Nurse in Charge in clinical areas
• Working closely with HCAs
• Assisting with the distribution of meals/drinks
• Assisting with feeding and drinking
• Talking to patients – companionship and interaction
• Preparing linen and bed making
• Collecting drugs from pharmacy
• Collecting items from other wards as needed
• Undertaking other miscellaneous tasks as required by the clinical teams
