This e-learning programme aims to support the health and care workforce in developing the knowledge and skills required to enable appropriate wound care to people in any setting.

Focused on the main principles of wound care, sessions include:

• the essentials of skin care
• wound assessment
• leg ulceration

These sessions are accessible for all health and care professionals and have been written for learners at level 4 and above. Learners will develop an understanding of skin anatomy and function, skin assessment, different types of wounds, wound assessment, causes of leg ulceration, types of leg ulceration and their management.

The interactive modules include activities and short films to engage the learner, with each taking 30-45 minutes to complete. Certificates are available on completion of each session.
