- Adverse drug effects
- Description:
- Monitoring of adverse drug events (ADE), both adverse drug reactions (ADR) and medication errors, is important to ensure safe use of medicines. Organisations with responsibility for collecting information about ADE exist but rely on practitioners to report the event to them. This session aims to inform trainees about how to recognise ADE and of the need to report them to the most appropriate agency to allow national review of ADE data.
