This programme aims to improve the skills and confidence of both learners and trainers to safely care for our children and young people (CYP) by enabling them to:
• Recognise and care for patients presenting with mental health needs in the acute setting of the emergency department and paediatric ward
• Recognise and care for patients who have learning disability or autism
• Safely plan and manage physical and mental health needs and escalate risk as appropriate
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families and carers, with a focus on what reasonable adjustments health care professionals need to make to achieve equal healthcare outcomes - Created:
