- Adverse drug effects
- Description:
- Monitoring of adverse drug events (ADEs), both adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and medication errors, is important to ensure safe use of medicines. Organisations with responsibility for collecting information about ADEs exist but rely on practitioners to report the events to them. This session aims to inform trainees about how to recognise ADEs and of the need to report them to the most appropriate agency to allow national review of ADE data.
