- Description:
- What do we know about bullying? In this session we will explore what we mean by bullying and how it differs from aggression. We will explore more generally different types of bullying including physical, verbal, relational, and cyber bullying. What are the different roles young people have during bullying incidents, we discuss these, including perpetrator, target, passive bystander, defender. How do different characteristics like age and gender differences affect the type of bullying that occurs? We also consider individual risk factors for involvement with particular consideration to risks around bias-based (prejudice-based) bullying including gender, sexual orientation, faith, ethnicity and disability.
