- This interactive scenario describes one of a number of possible cases where a patient presents with post-operative complications. As you progress through the scenario you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to diagnose the cause for the hyponatraemia and treat this patient. Once you have specified a treatment plan, a simulation of the patient’s responses over a period of time enables you evaluate its success. The scenario will allow you to revise the causes of hyponatraemia and the appropriate investigation pathways, as well as how to interpret the investigation findings and apply the information to produce an appropriate management plan.
